Former Oregon State great and current Dallas Cowboys defensive tackle Stephen Paea is reportedly retiring from the NFL at age 29.
Paea told the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday of his decision. He has played in the NFL for 7 seasons. Paea signed a one-year deal with the Cowboys in March.

Paea played at Oregon State from 2008-2010 and was named the Morris Trophy winner as the best defensive lineman in the Pac-10 in 2009 and 2010. He was also named the Pac-10 defensive played of the year in 2010.
The former Beaver was drafted in the second round by the Chicago Bears in 2011 and has played for the Bears, Cowboys, Washington Redskins and Cleveland Browns in his career.
