Welcome to the Wednesday edition of our Oklahoma DieHards morning roundup, where we take you through all the biggest headlines around Oklahoma athletics.

NFL moves

The biggest news Tuesday on the first day of NFL free agency was the number of former Oklahoma Sooners getting new NFL homes. Linebacker Corey Nelson was reportedly picked up by the Philadelphia Eagles, quarterback Sam Bradford by the Arizona Cardinals and cornerback Aaron Colvin by the Houston Texans.

Succeeding in the NFL is difficult, a minuscule amount of players get to do it. Congratulations to the former players who are getting to do what they love and make a significant amount of money doing it.

A snub for Trae Young

Possibly one of the biggest snubs in the entire college basketball season happened to Oklahoma freshman Trae Young. He was not one of the four finalists for the Naismith Award, despite becoming the first player in Division I men’s college basketball history to lead the nation in points and assists.

While it’s certainly debatable for Young to win the award, he certainly deserved to at least be in the conversation. It’s absolutely ridiculous he wasn’t included.
