Earlier in the week, it was reported by multiple sources that former Ohio State running back Carlos Hyde would return to Ohio for the 2018 NFL season by signing with the Cleveland Browns in free agency. On Thursday, the Browns officially announced their acquisition of Hyde.
The Browns welcomed Hyde to Cleveland on Twitter, including a picture of Hyde signing his contract with some of his loved ones in attendance.

Hyde and the Browns agreed to a three-year deal worth more than $15 million. Hyde will receive $6 million in the first year of the contract.
Hyde played four seasons at Ohio State from 2010-13, where he rushed for 3,198 yards and 37 touchdowns on 523 carries in that span.
The San Francisco 49ers selected Hyde in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. Hyde played in 50 games over four seasons with San Francisco, rushing for 2,729 yards and 21 touchdowns on 655 total carries.
