Keith Washington, a former Michigan Wolverine, announced his commitment to play for the West Virginia Mountaineers on Tuesday.

Washington had transferred from Michigan after a year and a half. He played at Copiah-Lincoln Junior College in Alabama this season, and announced his decision to come to Morgantown, W. Va., on Twitter.

He is the No. 13 ranked cornerback in the 247Sports Composite Rankings, and grades out as a 3-star player. At 6-foot-2 and 170 pounds, he still has room to grow.

“Out of all the schools I visited, that one gave me the best feeling that felt like home to me,” Washington said of West Virginia, according to a report from Chris Anderson at EerSports.  “That’s a national program, too.”

This is the second major recruiting news in as many days for the Mountaineers. Last night, 4-star DB Kwantel Rains reaffirmed his commitment to play at West Virginia.
