Former JUCO coach of the year says he’s joining Jeremy Pruitt’s staff at Tennessee

Tennessee coach Jeremy Pruitt has apparently made another addition to his coaching staff, bringing over an offensive mind from the JUCO ranks.

Joe Osovet, named the 2014 USA Sports Writer JUCO Coach of the Year, announced on social media that he’ll be joining the Vols’ staff, although it isn’t immediately clear what his role will be.

Osovet has spent the last two seasons as the head coach and offensive coordinator with ASA College in Brooklyn, New York, after four seasons with Nassau Community College, also located in the Big Apple.

Osovet is known for his high-octane spread offense.
