Torres, a native of Mishawaka, Ind., initially committed to Iowa on July 12. The 6-foot-6 recruit is ranked as the No. 48 tight end in the class and 14th-best recruit from Indiana.
With less than two weeks until the early signing period, the Hawkeyes currently have 14 commits in their 2018 class, which is ranked 40th in the country and ninth in the Big Ten. The class includes 4-star defensive end John Waggoner, who committed to Iowa on Dec. 5. Land of 10’s Bobby La Gesse took an inside look at the week leading up to Waggoner’s commitment to Kirk Ferentz’s program.
