Shaun Dion Hamilton made a bold prediction for Alabama’s upcoming game against Villanova in the NCAA Tournament.
On Thursday, the former Alabama linebacker wrote on Twitter that the No. 9 seed Crimson Tide will upset the top-seeded Wildcats when the teams meet Saturday in Round of 32 play in the East Region. On Thursday, Alabama beat Virginia Tech after Villanova routed Radford to allow the matchup to happen.

Hamilton’s rooting interests should be obvious. Still, it’s cool to see him make such a strong prediction for the world to see. Many consider Villanova to be a possible national title contender, so an Alabama victory would be a surprise to more than a few college basketball pundits.
As for Hamilton’s future, he’s prepping for the NFL draft after totaling 134 tackles with 4 1/2 sacks and 2 interceptions as part of the Crimson Tide from 2014-17. Likely, he’ll carve out time this weekend to see if his prediction will come true.
