Former Arizona guard TJ McConnell to Sean Miller: ‘I will never turn my back on you’

Former Arizona Wildcats guard TJ McConnell is a big fan of Arizona coach Sean Miller. Miller, in his 9th year at Arizona, is embroiled in controversy due to an ESPN report that alleges Miller discussed a $100,000 payment to to then-recruit DeAndre Ayton.

Miller did not coach against Oregon last Saturday due to the report and it is not yet known if/when Miller will return to the sideline.

McConnell spent two years at Arizona after transferring from Duquesne. During his junior season he was named All-Pac-12 second team. As a senior McConnell was named first-team All-Pac-12 and to the Pac-12 All-Defensive Team. Both seasons ended in the Elite Eight.

McConnell took to his Instagram account on Monday to express his love for Miller and offer his support during these trying times:

McConnell is in his third season with the Philadelphia 76ers where he has turned into a solid role player. He is averaging 7.2 points, 4.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game in 24.5 minutes of action.
