Undrafted out of college, TJ McConnell has spent the past two-plus seasons trying to prove he not only deserves to be in the NBA but is one of the best all-around guards in the league. That mission was furthered on Monday when he recorded the first triple double of his career.

McConnell, who played at Arizona from 2013-15, had 10 points, 10 rebounds and 11 assists in 37 minutes off the bench for the Philadelphia 76ers in their 108-92 win over the New York Knicks.

The 6-foot-2 McConnell also had a career-high 6 steals, making him the first NBA player to have a triple double and also record that many steals since Rajon Rondo in 2011. For the season he is averaging 7.5 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.3 steals.
