Florida takes huge tumble, Tennessee rises in latest college basketball AP Top 25 poll

Florida’s 1-2 mark this past week resulted in a big drop in the newest AP Top 25 poll released on Monday.

The Gators (6-3) fell from No. 5 to No. 22 after losing back-to-back games, the first against rival Florida State and the next a head-scratcher to Loyola-Chicago. Florida did manage to snap the three-game losing streak with a win over then-No. 17 Cincinnati on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Tennessee (7-1) made a jump from No. 24 to No. 20, taking care of business against Lipscomb on Saturday. The Vols will be tested by No. 7 North Carolina on Sunday.

Last week, Tennessee entered the AP rankings for the first time since December 2010.
