Florida State sophomore wide receiver Keith Gavin “probably won’t be ready” to play this upcoming Saturday against Duke after suffering an ankle injury in the team’s 24-20 loss to Miami last weekend, according to coach Jimbo Fisher.

Considering how the passing game has struggled as a unit this season — the Noles rank 85th in college football through the air with 203 yards per game — losing Gavin would be a tough blow. At 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, the former four-star prospect is second on the team with 14 receptions for 143 yards.
Earlier this week, Fisher listed Jared Jackson, Tamorrion Terry and D.J. Matthews as potential replacements. None of those three players have caught a pass yet this season.
FSU (1-3, 1-2 ACC) will look to right the ship on the road in Durham as it takes on the Blue Devils (4-2, 1-2) at noon ET.
