Dan Mullen has hired away an assistant from another SEC school.
Florida announced on Friday that it has hired Charlton Warren to serve as an assistant coach. Warren was previously the defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator at Tennessee.
Warren just completed his first season with the Vols after previously spending two years as an assistant at North Carolina.
After the news, Warren tweeted out a message to Tennessee’s players thanking him for his time with the Vols:
Really enjoyed my time here at RockyTop! Want to wish all the players nothing but success in the future, and I appreciate getting a chance to coach and mentor the #Savages this season. Best of luck fellas! #Techsavage
