ESPN projects UCLA to play in Frisco Bowl

The UCLA Bruins put themselves in a good spot to make it to a bowl game with their 31-14 win over Oregon on Saturday at the Rose Bowl.

The Bruins are 4-3 on the season and 2-2 in Pac-12 play. UCLA is also perfect at the Rose Bowl this season, going 4-0 so far with games against Arizona State and California later in the season. The team only needs 2 more wins to become eligible for a bowl game.

ESPN’s most recent bowl projections, which were released Sunday, have the Bruins playing in the inaugural Frisco Bowl, which is played at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

Hale: UCF vs. UCLA

UCF would be an incredibly difficult opponent for the Bruins. The Knights a 6-0 this season and ranked No. 18 in the country.

UCLA’s next 2 games are on the road against Washington and Utah. If the Bruins are able to split those 2 games, they would be in a great spot to end the season with more than 6 wins.

The Bruins and Huskies will kick off on Saturday in Seattle at 12:30 p.m. PT on either ABC or ESPN2.
