ESPN Host calls Trae Young the ‘Steph Curry of college’ after monster first half against Wichita State

The legend of Trae Young is growing, and the tales of his exploits are spreading far and wide.

That legend is being furthered by ESPN host Jay Williams, who called Young “the Steph Curry of college” in a tweet.

Williams also said that Young is “the best player in college basketball”.

Williams isn’t wrong, Trae Young was in the middle of dropping a staggering 21 points on Wichita State in just the first half. The Shockers are ranked no. 3 in the nation, but Oklahoma is putting on an offensive clinic that’s taking them to the limit. At the half, the Sooners were up by a score of 54-39.

Young is averaging 28.8 points per game in addition to 8.8 assists per game. He’ll likely only spend one year in college basketball, but so far, he’s making the time he has extremely memorable.
