It might be the biggest game on the ACC slate on Saturday, so many eyes were on ESPN’s College GameDay to see the panel’s picks for No. 11 Miami vs. Georgia Tech.
As it turns out, the panel almost unanimously picked the Yellow Jackets to defeat the Hurricanes at Hard Rock Stadium.
“Georgia Tech is going to upset Miami in Miami,” Lee Corso said.
“This has all the makings of it being too obvious of an upset,” Kirk Herbstreit said, “but I think that TaQuon Marshall’s ability to control the clock here, make a couple plays in the pass game, Miami has some injuries. Give me Georgia Tech, very, very close.”
Desmond Howard was the lone holdout, choosing Miami to hold serve at home. Humorously, a James Madison impersonator serving as the “celebrity picker” that week – the show was on the campus of James Madison University in Virginia this week – chose Duke when asked for his prediction.
The Hurricanes and Yellow Jackets kick off at 3:30pm ET on ABC.
