Elite 2019 WR Arjei Henderson names Oklahoma in top 6

After recently reopening his recruitment, elite 2019 Richmond (Texas) Fort Bend Travis wide receiver Arjei Henderson has released a new top six.

On Saturday afternoon, Henderson named Oklahoma, along with Alabama, Ohio State, LSU, Texas and Texas A&M as the schools he’ll consider going forward.

A 5-star prospect, Henderson originally committed to Oklahoma on Feb. 19, but backed out of his pledge months later on April 23. Just over three months later, Henderson then announced his commitment to Oregon on July 29, but following a Nov. 11 unofficial visit to Oklahoma, Henderson reopened his recruitment once again the following day on Nov. 12.

Fast forward nearly a month later and out of Henderson’s 46 total offers, the elite Texas native will now reportedly focus on the aforementioned six programs.

Henderson recently concluded his junior campaign, hauling in 81 receptions for 1,168 yards and 14 touchdowns, which are each a step back from his 2016 productivity. In any case, the explosive prospect remains one of the nation’s most coveted pass-catchers, and for good reason.

Oklahoma currently stands as the favorite to earn his signature when that time comes, as the Sooners hold 85 percent of Henderson’s Crystal Ball projections.

A 6-foot-1, 179-pound prospect is ranked as the nation’s No. 16 player, No. 4 wide receiver and the No. 3 player in Texas, per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
