Duke to host ESPN’s College GameDay for Blue Devils’ matchup with North Carolina

Duke-North Carolina hosting College Gameday-March 3

It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that ESPN’s College GameDay will end its regular season on the campus of Duke University for the Duke-North Carolina game. But with the two bitter rivals meeting on the hardwood for the 248th time, it made perfect sense.

College GameDay was in Chapel Hill, N.C. before the Blue Devils played the Tar Heels at the Dean Smith Center. The Devils ended up dropping that one 82-78.

Duke, of course, is a familiar venue for the program.

This will be the seventeenth time that Cameron Indoor Stadium has hosted the studio show, second only to both Kansas and North Carolina (19). The last time came on January 21, 2017, when the Blue Devils hosted the Miami Hurricanes. As for the Carolina-Duke rivalry, it will be the eleventh time during which the Tar Heels and Blue Devils have been the featured matchup.

It promises to be another gripping contest — as it always is when these two teams meet.
