Duke football: Blue Devils will be without starting LT vs. FSU

The Duke Blue Devils will be without veteran starting left tackle Gabe Brandner against Florida State on Saturday.

Brandner, a redshirt senior, will miss the game after suffering a hamstring injury in last Saturday’s loss at Virginia, Duke coach David Cutcliffe told reporters on Thursday.

“He has not returned to practice,” Cutcliffe told Steve Wiseman of The (Durham) Herald-Sun. “We have hope for next week but we’ll see.”

Brandner had started 30 consecutive games, dating back to the 2015 season. Christian Harris, a 6-foot-6, 300-pound redshirt junior, is listed as No. 2 on the depth chart at left tackle this week behind Brandner.
