Friday night in the Carrier Dome? Apparently that had “trap game” written all over it. It may not have made a lot of sense coming into the evening, but Syracuse (3-3) defeated No. 2 Clemson (6-0) in a stunning ACC upset.

Not only did Syracuse win, 27-24, but the Orange was able to keep Clemson from taking a lead for the entire evening.

Coming into the game, Clemson had defeated 49 of its last 50 unranked opponents.

The Tigers did recover from a loss to Pittsburgh last season to win a national title against Alabama last season. The internet was losing its cool after Dabo Swinney and the defending national champions took a loss to a team that dropped a game to Middle Tennessee State in the same building last month.
