Colts sign former Frog Kolby Listenbee to practice squad

One of TCU’s recent graduates, Kolby Listenbee, was just signed to the Colts’ practice squad, according to a release from the franchise.

Listenbee was with the Miami Dolphins’ practice squad earlier this season. He was taken in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills, but spent his entire rookie season on the Bills’ Reserve/Non-Football Injury List.

What sets Listenbee apart from other wide receivers is his speed. He was a two-sport star at TCU, notching All-American status four times for running the 100 meter dash. In his senior season, Listenbee accounted for 30 receptions for 597 yards and five touchdowns.

Listenbee suffered a double sports hernia during his senior year at TCU, and entered the NFL Combine injured. His blistering speed will assure that he gets picked up by someone, but he’ll need to prove that he’s fully recovered from his injuries if he wants to make it on the field in NFL games.
