College football odds: Week 9 opening Vegas betting lines for SEC games

Five SEC clashes dot the Week 9 slate while Missouri will face non-league opposition for the second week in a row.

Arkansas visits Ole Miss for an early kickoff, and the Rebels will be without starting quarterback Shea Patterson, who tore a ligament in his right knee this weekend against LSU.

That news broke earlier Sunday, which explains why the Wynn doesn’t have a line posted for this game yet.

We’re not supposed to call it the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party when Georgia and Florida hook up in Jacksonville, Fla., but that’s what we have this week. The Bulldogs are a 2-touchdown favorite, but it was Florida that earned a 24-10 victory last season.

In Columbia, South Carolina will entertain Vanderbilt in a SEC East battle. The Gamecocks are a 7-point favorite, and hold a 22-4 lead in the series.

After pasting Idaho at home last week, Missouri will try its luck on the road against UConn on Saturday. The Tigers are a 12-point favorite. The only other meeting between the schools was a 9-6 win for the Huskies in 2015 at Faurot Field.

Mississippi State looked impressive in a home win against Kentucky, and the Bulldogs will try to duplicate that effort on the road against Texas A&M.

The Aggies are a 1-point favorite, but were on the wrong end of a 35-28 decision in Starkville last season.

Finally, Tennessee hits the road in SEC play for the second week in a row. The Volunteers will play at Kentucky, which is coming off a deflating loss of its own. Tennessee has won 31 of the last 32 meetings, but it is a 5.5-point underdog for this contest.

Here’s a look at each of the early Vegas lines for Week 9.

All times Eastern and all lines are as of 6 p.m. ET Sunday and courtesy of the Wynn Sportsbook.
