Colin Cowherd calls Baker Mayfield ‘undraftable’ because of Arkansas arrest

Three days before the one-year anniversary of Baker Mayfield’s arrest in Fayetteville, Ark., FOX Sports Radio’s Colin Cowherd still isn’t over the incident involving the 2017 Heisman Trophy winner.

Cowherd ripped the former Sooners quarterback, calling him “undraftable” and that he would be off his draft board, because of the video of Mayfield running from police.

Cowherd said he might feel differently if Mayfield was a cornerback or a linebacker, but he can’t get over the video considering Mayfield is a quarterback and that players like Eli Manning and Tom Brady don’t have similar things from their pasts.

“Name me a Hall of Fame quarterback who has a video of him running from the cops in college,” Cowherd said in the segment. “I’m sorry but Baker Mayfield has lousy judgment. If you ever run from cops, you’ve got lousy judgment.”

He then made a jab calling Mayfield “slow” for being caught by police officers.

Mayfield is still expected to be one of the first quarterbacks taken in the 2018 NFL Draft, which is scheduled for April 26-28 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
