The Clemson secondary has been one of the best in college football in recent years, and part of the reason for the Tigers’ success is defensive coordinator Brent Venables.
Venables is a taskmaster – he’s clearly intense and demanding. He sounded off on the Clemson secondary after a scrimmage on Wednesday. Take a look:
Better to work out the kinks in March than in September. The Tigers return plenty on defense in 2018 but lost a few key secondary members – most notably cornerback Ryan Carter. Perhaps this message from Venables will hit home.
