All-purpose running back Mychale Salahuddin, who is a 4-star prospect in the 2018 class according to 247Sports, de-committed from USC on Sunday morning. And in his de-commitment announcement, Salahuddin listed Clemson as one of his final five choices.
“Late night thoughts, up thinking and dwelling about this God gifted opportunity I have in front of me,” Salahuddin wrote in a Twitter post.
“The Trojan family has taken me in with welcomed arms since the moment I’ve received my offer from the Univ. Committing to USC was one of the biggest decisions made in my life. Over the last couple of months I’ve truly realized how important this decision is for my City, my family and my life after football. The thought of being a Trojan is something I’m truly interested in, but it must be decided with a little more time and consideration! Would like to reopen my recruitment and invest my time in these last moments before signing day in my top five schools.”

As the tweet indicates, the running back is still considering USC along with Maryland, Pitt and North Carolina in addition to Clemson.
Salahuddin, who is from Washington D.C., is the fourth-best all-purpose back in the 2018 class according to 247Sports. He is also ranked 204th nationally.
