Clay Travis burned Jim Harbaugh when giving his take about Shea Patterson’s choice to transfer.
On Monday, the former Ole Miss quarterback announced that he was transferring to Michigan. The move is a strong development for the Wolverines coach in his attempt to inject life into his team’s quarterback depth.
Still, the Outkick The Coverage analyst wasn’t impressed. As you can see in the message below, Travis zinged Harbaugh by writing, “Big time move to lock up fourth place in the Big Ten East this early.” Oof.
Congrats to Jim Harbaugh and Michigan fans on the Shea Patterson transfer. Big time move to lock up fourth place in the Big Ten East this early.

Travis has been a vocal critic of Harbaugh, so this take is predictable. Still, you have to admit it’s kind of funny.
Travis is right that the shine has come off Harbaugh’s reputation after Michigan closed the regular season with an 8-4 record. The Wolverines have struggled against rivals Ohio State and Michigan State under the coach as well.
Is Patterson the answer in Ann Arbor? That remains to be seen, but Travis doesn’t think so.
