Clay Travis likes Tennessee’s chances to make a memorable run in the NCAA Tournament.
On Thursday, the Outkick the Coverage analyst used Twitter to drop a strong prediction about the Vols’ chances to reach the Final Four. Travis wrote that Tennessee is one of his picks to be the last four teams standing in the NCAA Tournament. He also selected Michigan State, Villanova and Michigan to reach the national semifinal.
My Final Four picks — meant to Tweet earlier: Michigan State, Villanova, Michigan and Tennessee.

So far, so good for the Vols. On Thursday, Tennessee opened NCAA Tournament play with a 73-47 victory against Wright State in Dallas as part of the South Region. Lamonte Turner led the Vols with 19 points. The Volunteers built an 11-point lead by halftime and coasted in the second half.
We’ll see if Travis’ prediction turns out to be true, but Tennessee (26-8) has shown flashes of the potential necessary to reach the Final Four. So much can happen in March. However, the Volunteers have established themselves as one of the SEC’s top threats.
Look out for the Vols.
