As the UCLA Bruins are in the early stages of spring practice, so too is the quarterback competition to replace Josh Rosen.
The ongoing battle to replace the star quarterback between Devon Modster and Matt Lynch — and later, Dorian Thompson-Robinson — is undoubtedly the biggest decision new head coach Chip Kelly has to make.
So where is he at in that process?
Kelly addressed that before the Bruins’ sixth spring practice.
“We haven’t even thought about that,” Kelly told the local media. “We’re five practices into the first time these guys have ever been exposed to our system.”
Modster, who started in place of Rosen at times last year when Rosen was injured, seems like the favorite among the returning veterans.
