One of the top high school wrestlers in Iowa has picked Cael Sanderson’s program over his home state powers. Brody Teske committed to Penn State wrestling on Friday morning, pledging to the Nittany Lions over Iowa, Iowa State and others.

Teske, who is projected to wrestle at 125 pounds at the collegiate level, is ranked as the sixth-best 120-pound high school wrestler in the country according to FloWrestle.

“There’s not an Iowa school that fits me better than Penn State, so I need to go with what’s best for me,” Teske told the Des Moines Register.

This is another big recruiting win for Sanderson and Penn State. Teske, a class of 2018 recruit, is 135-0 with three state titles so far in his high school career, according to the Des Moines Register. He’ll join a Penn State program that has won six NCAA team championships in the last seven seasons.
