Boston College football Twitter account trolls Louisville after winning on last-second field goal

It’s been a great day for Boston College football. The same cannot be said for the Louisville Cardinals.

Despite Lamar Jackson breaking the school record for rushing touchdowns and recording 512 all-purpose yards, the Cardinals found themselves on the wrong end of a 45-42 scoreline thanks to a Colton Lichtenberg 27-yard field goal as time expired. It delivered a victory to an Eagles team that was outgained 625-555 in what turned out to be a wild game.

Afterwards, Boston College’s official Twitter account rubbed salt into the Cardinals’ fresh wound.

Ouch. That is quite the burn.

After starting the season 4-1, Louisville has now lost its last two games and sit at 4-3 overall. With their record now 1-3 in the ACC, their hopes of a ACC Atlantic Division title have completely vanished.

Louisville visits Florida State next Saturday in Tallahassee.
