Kansas State is set to host No. 6 TCU on Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Football Stadium in Manhattan, Kan. One expert says the conditions could be just right for an upset to be brewing.
Bleacher Report’s Adam Kramer wrote that Kansas State could upset the Big 12-leading Horned Frogs at home in Week 7. Kramer wrote that “Manhattan, Kan. can shipwreck teams” and predicted that the Wildcats will keep the game close on Saturday.
Kansas State has not defeated a top-10 team at home since 2006. Kansas State had an 18-point halftime lead against No. 2 TCU at home in 2015, but couldn’t hold onto the lead as the Horned Frogs prevailed with a 52-45 win.
This time, the undefeated Horned Frogs come into Manhattan as a 6 1/2-point favorite over the Wildcats.
Kansas State defeated TCU, 30-6, in Fort Worth one season ago, but will be without starting quarterback Jesse Ertz on Saturday. Backup quarterback Alex Delton will be at the helm on offense for Kansas State.
The Wildcats will look to make it two in a row against the Horned Frogs when the teams kickoff at 11 a.m CT on Oct. 14. The game will air on FS1.
