Billy Price called ‘one of the best center prospects’ of the last decade by NFL Draft analyst

NFL Draft evaluation season is about to ramp up, but Ohio State center Billy Price has already done a lot to impress analysts and scouts.

Price could be the top center selected in the 2018 NFL Draft, and he is among the best players at the position in 10 years, according to one analyst. NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah called Price “one of the best center prospects” he’s seen in the last decade.

Here’s his full analysis of the Buckeyes captain:

“I recently studied Buckeyes senior Billy Price and he’s one of the best center prospects I’ve seen in the past decade. He has tremendous upper body torque, quick feet and outstanding awareness. (Pat) Elflein has enjoyed an outstanding rookie campaign with the Vikings, and I think Price is a superior player on college tape. I gave Price the same grade I gave (Nick) Mangold when he entered the league, and Mangold ended up being a first-round selection.”

Price, who moved from guard to center for Ohio State in 2017, was a unanimous All-American and won the Rimington Trophy (nation’s top center) during his senior season.
