According to Kellis Robinett of the Kansas City Star, Bill Snyder has released a statement on former Kansas State offensive coordinator Dana Dimel leaving the Wildcats for the UTEP Miners.
Bill Snyder statement on Dana Dimel going to UTEP:
"We will miss having Dana and Julie with us. They have been a very special family and have contributed a great deal to the successes we have had. All of the Kansas State family wish them continued success and good fortune."

The move will leave Kansas State without its offensive coordinator for their game against UCLA. The Bruins will also be missing members of their coaching staff, UCLA head coach Jim Mora was fired last month.
Losing Dimel will definitely change how Kansas State approaches this game, but probably not by much. The Wildcats will still probably use their quarterback as a runner more than a passer, and attempt to establish a good off-tackle running game early on. This is Kansas State football, it hasn’t changed much, and it likely won’t change too much in the future. Their base is built around gritty, tough, hard-nosed football. Even if some of the specifics change, it’s hard to see Dimel leaving factoring too much into Bill Snyder’s broader scheme.
