Michael Porter Jr. isn’t disappointing in his unofficial Missouri debut.
The Tigers lead Kansas 44-40 at halftime in the Showdown for Relief in Kansas City, and Missouri’s prized freshman has scored 14 points and added 4 rebounds.
Of course, that’s not to say his debut is perfect. Porter is shooting 4-of-10 from the field, but has made 5-of-6 free throws.
Kassius Robertson, a transfer from Canisus, is also impressing against Kansas. He has 9 points in 15 minutes, shooting 3-of-4 from 3-point range. Missouri forward Jordan Barnett also has 9 points.
Freshman Jontay Porter — the younger brother of Michael — has only 2 points, but leads Missouri with 6 rebounds.
Kansas guard Devonte’ Graham leads all players with 17 points at halftime.
