The final score may not look pretty for C.J. Beathard’s for career start in the NFL, but he did something he may always remember on Sunday.
With just over six minutes left in the game between Beathard’s San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys, the former Iowa Hawkeyes gunslinger and his team was trailing, 40-3. However, the 49ers did end up reaching double digits thanks to Beathard’s legs.

The game itself may not be something Beathard wants to remember. The four-yard run, however, is probably a positive he can always look back on and smile about.
Beathard’s first start ended with him completing 22 of 38 passes for 235 yards.
