The Baylor Bears are listed in the “First Four Out” in Joe Lunardi of ESPN’s latest Bracketology update.
The Bears are currently in the middle of a four-game winning streak, one that includes a win over perennial conference front-runner Kansas.
Placed in the “Last Four In” are USC, UCLA, St. Bonaventure, and Texas, who Baylor has already beaten twice. The Bears will have lots more chances to improve their tournament resume. On Saturday, No. 7 Texas Tech comes to town. After that, No. 20 West Virginia will have to visit Waco as well.
Baylor is on a solid run right now, but three of their remaining five games are against ranked opponents. The Bears will need to create some upsets, and considering that they’ve beaten the Longhorns twice already this season, they might need some fortuitous losses higher up in the seeding.
