Mo Bamba, battling toe injury, returns to action for Texas vs. Texas Tech

Texas freshman forward Mo Bamba, battling a toe injury, returned to the court for the Longhorns on Thursday after missing the team’s first game in the Big 12 Tournament.

Bamba did not start the game, but entered near the middle-stages of the first half vs. the Red Raiders. He missed the Longhorns’ tournament-opener vs. Iowa State on Wednesday — a 68-64 triumph.

Bamba also missed the final two games of the regular season for Texas against Kansas and West Virginia. He is averaging 13 points and 10.6 rebounds per game this season for the Longhorns.

Texas was in a hole early vs. the Red Raiders on Thursday, failing to score a point in the first five minutes of the contest. The Longhorns trailed 19-6 with just under 11 minutes to play in the first half.
