Baker Mayfield: ‘No doubt’ Oklahoma can make CFP title game

Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is one of the most confident players in college football.

So there’s hardly any surprise that Mayfield expects big things from his team in the playoffs.

The Sooners made the 2015 College Football Playoffs, but Mayfield was injured in Oklahoma’s semifinal loss to Clemson.

Baker proclaims a CFP playoff return

Mayfield expects a different result, according to comments he made to reporters at the Sooners’ media session on Monday.

The Sooners have been lucky this season with each of their last three games being settled on the final possession. Oklahoma has won two of them.

But with a tough schedule looming, Mayfield sees much room for improvement to make his ultimate goal for his senior season.
