Auburn-Texas A&M series history
The Auburn-Texas A&M series is a strange one to say the least. The two teams have only met seven times, though the first game was played in 1911. Auburn hasn’t faired well in the series, losing five of seven meetings.
Since the Aggies joined the SEC in 2012, defending home field has been difficult and the win has gone to the visiting team. Texas A&M defeated Auburn 29-16 in Jordan-Hare Stadium last season.
The coming meeting has some added drama time time around. Auburn quarterback Jarrett Stidham was recruited by the Aggies when he decided to leave Baylor. It’s also the quarterback’s first time playing in his home state since leaving Baylor.
