Auburn football podcast: Future Tigers look good in all-star game practices

Welcome to The Podcast on the Plains, SEC Country’s daily Auburn football podcast with host Zac Blackerby. On the show Friday, Blackerby is joined by SEC Country’s Ben Wolk and Lauren Shute. Wolk reports from the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game and discusses the performances of  future Auburn Tigers. Shute reports in on her way to visit future Tigers player Josh Marsh. They also chat about the happenings around Auburn athletics.

  • Start of the podcast: Wolk joins Blackerby and gives a short-and-sweet report on who stood out at the all-star practices. He shares that he is always impressed by Asa Martin. The guys also talk about how special of a wide receiver group the Tigers could bring in with their 2018 recruiting class. The guys compare it to the stellar class from a few years ago.
  • 8-minute mark: Shute joins the show and talks about Josh Marsh and how he’s a tackling machine. They transition into a conversation about the Peach Bowl smack talk that has come from UCF. Blackerby and Shute believe the comments are interesting.
  • 16-minute mark: Blackerby and Shute discuss Auburn basketball’s big game against Middle Tennessee this weekend.
  • End of the show: The experts discuss Gus Malzahn’s comments from earlier in the week. They both believe Kam Pettway has played his last game for Auburn. They also talk about coaching stability.
