The Wildcats garnered 22 of 23 first-place votes, with second-place USC getting the other one. According to Pac-12.com this is the 15th time since 1989-90 that Arizona has been the preseason choice to win the league, doing as predicted on nine occasions including 2013-14 and 2014-15.
Arizona returns three starters from last year’s squad, which shared the Pac-12 regular-season title with Oregon and then went on to win the conference tournament.
