Arizona State’s tremendous start to the 2017-18 season keeps reaching new heights, with Sunday’s win at Kansas serving as the springboard for a major jump in the Associated Press Top 25.

The Sun Devils (9-0) moved up 11 spots from 16 th after a week in which they beat St. John’s 82-70 in Los Angeles on Friday and then knocked off then-No. 2 Kansas in Lawrence. It was ASU’s first road win over a Top 5 team since beating No. 4 Stanford in 1998.

ASU received five first-place votes while the others went to No. 1 Villanova (41) and No. 2 Michigan State (19).

The Sun Devils will try to start 10-0 for the first time in school history on Sunday at home against Vanderbilt.
