Josh Rosen’s quarterback skill set will be heavily dissected from now until the 2018 NFL Draft. Draft pundits will be picking apart the UCLA quarterback as an NFL prospect. The Sporting News’ Bill Bender says one of Rosen’s criticisms is fair and another is unjust.
Bender thinks people saying Rosen is too outspoken is not of merit.
“He’ll win some news conferences and lose a few more, but how Rosen handles the media shouldn’t influence whether a team drafts him.”
However, Bender does believes Rosen’s leadership questions are valid.
“UCLA went 18-20 the last three seasons; Rosen wasn’t able to elevate the program, and that three-year record got former NFL coach Jim Mora fired. Not all of that is on Rosen, but he’ll have to take on some responsibility as the quarterback.”
Most draft projections have Rosen as a top three quarterback and top-10 selection in this year’s draft.
