Albert Haynesworth on Butch Jones: ‘Everybody knows the writing is on the wall’

Albert Haynesworth had a message about Tennessee’s future to share after the Vols’ latest loss.

On Saturday, the Vols lost to South Carolina 15-9 at Neyland Stadium. It dropped Tennessee to 3-3, and it creates big questions about Butch Jones’ future as the Volunteers’ coach.

Shortly after the result, the former Tennessee defensive lineman shared his thoughts about the Vols’ direction in a message released on Twitter. Check out his message below.

It remains to be seen what will happen to Jones. But after Saturday, it’s obvious that the Tennessee coach isn’t in a good place. The loss to South Carolina comes after a 41-0 defeat to Georgia on Sept. 30. A rough matchup against Alabama looms next Saturday.

Haynesworth was a standout at Tennessee before becoming the No. 15 pick in the 2002 NFL Draft. He has said he wants former Tennessee quarterback Tee Martin to be the Vols’ next coach.
