Alabama recruiting question of the day: Tide’s defensive line targets in 2019 class

Alabama finished seventh in the recruiting rankings in the 2018 class, but expect the Crimson Tide to be back on top come 2019. SEC Country’s Chris Kirschner  will answer the Recruiting Question of the Day each weekday. You can ask him your questions on  Twitter or on  Facebook. Find our previous questions and answers  here.

Alabama only signed two defensive linemen in the Class of 2018 in 4-star prospects Christian Barmore and Stephon Wynn. The Tide missed on Bobby Brown, who flipped from Alabama to Texas A&M on National Signing Day, and Malik Langham, who signed with Florida.

Some top defensive line targets in the 2019 class include: 5-star defensive tackle Ishmael Sophser, 5-star defensive end Chris Hinton, 4-star defensive tackle CJ Clark, 4-star defensive tackle DJ Dale, 4-star defensive tackle Jaquaze Sorrells, 4-star defensive tackle Travon Walker, 4-star defensive end Nathan Pickering and 4-star defensive end Savion Jackson.

That list will grow over the next few months when Alabama starts hosting junior day events and camp season rolls around in the summer.

I certainly expect Alabama to sign over two defensive linemen in the 2019 class.
