Series history: Wittenberg leads 28-7-2. The series began in 1894. The Tigers have won 25 straight. Kenyon's last victory came in 1914. The teams tied in 1921. They didn't play between 1948 and 1989, when Wittenberg joined the NCAC.

Last meeting: Wittenberg won 49-7 last season in Springfield. Kenyon has not scored more than seven points in a game against Wittenberg since 1997.

Last game: Wittenberg beat Oberlin 62-2 in Springfield. Kenyon lost 49-42 at home to Wooster.

Next game: Wittenberg hosts Allegheny at 1 p.m. Nov. 14 in its last game of the season. Kenyon closes with a 1 p.m. game at Denison.

Coaches: Wittenberg's Joe Fincham is 179-41 in his 20th season. Kenyon's Chris Monfiletto is 13-25 in his fourth season.

Wittenberg notes: Wide receiver Corey Stump received first-team Capital One Academic All-America Division III All-District 7 honors. He has a 3.88 GPA and earned the Biology Excellence Honors Award in 2014. Stump has 64 receptions, the fifth-highest single-season total in school history. … Zack Jenkins ranks fifth on Wittenberg's career passing list with 5,227 yards.

Kenyon notes: The Lords' victories came in back-to-back games against Hiram (34-17) and Allegheny (32-17). They have lost four straight since. … Kenyon ranks fifth in the conference in scoring offense (23.6) and sixth in scoring defense (29.8). … Blake Calcei ranks third in the NCAC in rushing yards per game (76.5) and is tied for second with six rushing touchdowns. … Quarterback Jake Bates ranks fifth in the NCAC in passing yards per game (187.1). He has 12 touchdown passes and two interceptions.

Around the NCAC: Denison (6-2, 5-2) plays at Wabash (8-0, 7-0). Wabash has clinched a share of the NCAC title and can win the title outright by winning at DePauw next week.
