College football recruiting: Alter’s John Bivens names top 6 schools


Alter running back John Bivens has taken the next step in his recruitment. 

The star junior released a top six college choices this week consisting of USC, Nebraska, Kentucky, Louisville, Cincinnati and Toledo.

Bivens is a 247Sports Composite three-star recruit. He is the No. 1 running back and No. 13 recruit overall in the state of Ohio. 

Bivens ran for 1,308 yards last season for the Knights despite missing their last two games with a knee injury. 

The 6-foot, 204-pounder averaged 9.9 yards per carry and scored 15 touchdowns. 

He had three 200-yard games, including a 262-yard outburst against Fenwick in Week 5. 

Alter quarterback Connor Bazelak is also a three-star prospect and the state’s No. 1 quarterback prospect in the 247Sports Composite.
