About Wright State: The Raiders are coming off a 78-60 loss at Western Kentucky . It was mostly a one-sided affair with the Hilltoppers leading by as many as 23. Freshman guard Jaylon Hall was one of the few bright spots with 11 points off the bench. … The Raiders are 4-1 at home and 0-3 on the road. … Freshman forward Everett Winchester is the sixth man and has a 9.8 average. Love leads the team in rebounding at 8.3, and Mitchell is tops in assists at 4.0. … The Raiders rank among the nation’s best in several statistical categories. They’re 45th out of 351 Division-I teams in scoring defense at 63.9 points per game, 16th in fewest personal fouls (15.1) and 59th in turnovers forced (16.3), while Mitchell is 59th in steals (2.14).
About Ohio Valley: The Division-II Scots opened the season with a 100-85 win over Wright State-Lake as Djordjevic had a triple-double with 16 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. They’ve lost to Charleston, Ferris State and Ohio Dominican. They also dropped an 81-66 decision to Division-I VMI in an exhibition. … They were 2-24 last season but have an experienced backcourt returning with Davis having averaged 13.5 points and Djordjevic 10.4. … They have an international flavor on their roster with Demetrio (Brazil), Aleksander and Luka Djordjevic (Serbia), Kevin Kengne (France), Jesse Ntihemuka (Rwanda), David Adeyemo (Nigeria) and Dylan Harrison (Canada) all coming from outside the U.S. … Ohio Valley was picked last out of 12 teams in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference preseason poll.
