Miller enters third season in league after two years with Texans

The defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles signed Wayne High School graduate and former Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback and wide receiver Braxton Miller to their practice squad Monday.

The Houston Texans cut Miller on Sept. 1, one day before they trimmed their roster to 53.

Miller, a 2016 third-round pick, caught 34 passes and two touchdowns in two seasons with the Texans. Miller had 11 catches for 122 yards in the preseason.

Miller joins a Philadelphia team with two former Buckeyes. Safety Malcolm Jenkins and punter Cameron Johnston play for the Eagles.
