“Nick has the skills, and the opportunity, to be a three-down linebacker for us,” Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said . “He’s fast and he’s tough. He did a great job at Utah State in the middle of the defense, scraping, playing over the top and through blocks.”
Vigil is the third member of the 2016 Bengals draft class to sign. The team finalized contracts with sixth-round pick Cody Core, a wide receiver from Mississippi, on Saturday, and seventh-round pick Clayton Fejedelem, a safety from Illinois, on Monday.
