Today will be a good day for the Bengals as they’ll practice in full pads for the first time, and it might be considered a great day for wide receiver A.J. Green because, well, it’s his birthday!
Make sure to wish the six-time Pro Bowler Happy Birthday if you go to the 3 p.m. training camp on the fields west of Paul Brown Stadium. He’s turning 29.
Gates open this afternoon at 2:30 (admission is free), and the Bengals won’t have another open practice for fans until Thursday at 3 p.m.
After working Sunday in helmets, shoulder pads and shorts, the team this afternoon will add football pads so contact will surely pick up, not that the lack of pants slowed linebacker Vontaze Burfict down on Sunday.
Burfict probably won’t say Happy Birthday, but quite a few fans are reaching out to Green on Twitter @ajgreen_18 .
